Polo The King of Fur

Polo THE FUR King by SKYLIFEPROMO

A Wonderful woman by the name of Lou C Diamond

-How did you get the name Lou C Diamond?
My name is Lou Ann C (Ortolani) Diamond. My Father's name was Luigi Ortolani, I dont like to be called Lou but many people would call me Lou to be 'friendly'. When I was a little girl my brothers called my Lucie, so as I entered a more prominent community position I began to use the name LouC and so it stuck. Im a reiki Master teacher, (I teach reiki Masters a western form of Pagan Reiki "Elemental Reiki") so I entered the metaphysical and psychic community with the title Master. As I became more known in certain paranormal and celebrity communities, those who do not understand, or were perhaps confused by the sensei -student relationship would refer to me as Miss Lucy, and so I am known around the world, in 65 countries, as Miss Lucy.

- When did you decide to start your career in Entertainment ?
My interest is in art and digital production. I produced a local television show for a year. I was thrilled with the technology, and with the platform which I used to build community relationships and events. One day I was interviewed on a radio show and I was hooked. I started a reiki radio show through 'Intuitive Life Network" (which I founded to bring local self-help information to the community) and eventually the universe moved to open doors for the ILN to establish the platform now known as 'Gemjin'

- How did You come about the idea for starting Genjin/Choice Treasures?
Choice Treasures started in 1998. It is my company name. I sold handmade, crafted and die-cast sterling and gold part time as a hobby while I worked for corporations establishing relationships and servicing business to business introductions. In 2001 when I realized I was making a little money for myself and a lot of money for people I did not admire, I left corporate office and made a vow to make a little bit of money for a lot of people whose work I genuinely do admire. Choice Treasures morphed and branched out as I established Choice Call Center, Gemjin jewelry sales and DBA. Choice Treasures is now the umbrella company for Gemjin (Digital Broadcasting) Intuitive Life Network.org, New England Seers, and Masterlucy.com my personal website.

- Where did the idea for gemjin com in and how did you get that started  ?
I put together the words Gem + Jin . Gemjin has a magic genie mascot that I used as an information tool and a story character for the website: The Jin who searches the earth for the magical Gems and makes talisman and amulets. It was a fun marketing experiment that proved successful.
After a year of broadcasting on the world's leading paranormal radio station I wanted the freedom to highlight more talent and we launched a radio station on the IntuitiveLifeNetwork.org website. It was hard to say, hard to spell, and hard to find for so many people (especially with the language barriers of my listeners)  because I did not have time to make jewelry any more for the Gemjin retail website, we re-launched the broadcast station as Gemjin.com

- What is your favorite song ?
Rainbow a dedication song Kevin Forest from K4S entertain produced. It reminds me that our ancestors are watching us at all times and drives me to make sure when I get to heaven they will be proud of me, keeping my name before God until I get there.

- Pro's and Cons's  to the industry ?
The entertainment industry is like any other industry Caviat Emptor (buyer be ware) it is unique in that the emphasis of quality is often placed on personality rather than integrity. This I find unfortunate for the entire community as true talent is often over looked and mediocre talent is honored.

- How does it feel to have your stations ranked #1 in the United Kingdom for Digital Broadcasting ?
Learning to highlight my own achievements has always been a challenge. I'm not impressed with being number one, I am impressed, one by one, as the lives of our listeners, talents, and sponsors are changed, as their hopes are realized and as their visions become reality.  Being on the top of the charts is expected from someone of my background, ability, and work ethic. The Gemjin stream is not limited to internet users like many competitors, you can catch the stream on any and every digital devise. We have forged relationships with every developed audio app available to the public. Im not surprised, and Im not impressed.  Rankings dont impress me, people who try impress me.

- You produced a video this year(2011) what inspired you to do such ?
Being a prolific producer it was my dream to make a music video that broke all of the rules of the entertainment industry. I like to break rules.  I created the music video 'Its Not Our Fault" with the help of King Cyris. When I told him I wanted there to be a song about the town Centrailia that tells the other side of the story, and that I wanted creative freedom he laughed and promised this was a dream that we could make come true. He pulled two other artists together that I immediately adored and admired Lyrik the vocalist and Mack Mirage. The three of them each created parts of the song and sent it to me. I make the script, did the logistics and scouting, shot the footage and edited the video. I was very happy with the end result. It is not like any other music video and has set the trend we see shifting away from sex, violence and the mirage of fame and fortune in music video production. I have only King Cyris to thank for this wonderful experience.

- What adivce do you have for the people that are trying to do, what you have already mastered ?

All it takes to succeed is perseverance. Every day try to make one move toward your goal, seek the counsel of people you admire and respect. Successful people always want to help others succeed. If anyone does not want to help you, they are still scrounging to find success and can offer you nothing anyway.

-What can people expect from GEMJIN in 2012 ?
Gemjin will be holding a public event this year if the God wills it, so we can bring some of the wonderful people of Gemjin together. I wrote a song for the Gemjin Mix Tape Vol II and will be creating a music video with some inspiring and memorable visuals and continue to expand the platform  as we bring more shows to the station from around the globe with more comedy. some politics and lots of inspiration.

- What inspired Gemjin TV ?

Gemjin TV was a natural evolution since many of the producers, like myself,  at Gemjin have experience in video production. It made sense to expand the platform to highlight that stream of talent.

Female Artist of the Year 2010 ( Throw back Interview)

Mrs. Stanford, started doing music at the tender age of five watching her uncle, MC Smooth perform and practice, and by her brother playing almost every instrument you could name she was bound to be some type of musician. Around seventeen she officially picked up a pen and began reciting poetry, joining teams and performing for events in DC, MD, and VA. After high school, she then began to craft her skills at Virginia Tech where she got a chance to get into the industry of event planning, promoting, and performing. In Summer 2005 L.Blaze began with a track recorded in Seattle, WA by QuestBlaze. In 2006 she graduated from Tech with a BA and decided to pursue music full time. Since graduating, she has traveled back to Washington, DC and recorded with SoFresh Ent, creating graphics and album covers for the label as well, and Soulja Boy Records on their mix tape "The Street and the Drum:Vol 1". In 2008 she traveled down the coast to Jacksonville, FL where she has been able to record her upcoming album "I Tried to Wait" and perform at local spots Sunday through Thursday. In Jacksonville, she has also linked up with a collaboration of artists forming the group The Famili releasing a mix tape "United we Stand" promoting their new upcoming album. You can find L.Blaze anywhere there is a crowd and a mic. With a fierce stage presence and a rapid smooth flow that can stand to check a few males, L.Blaze is quickly making a name for herself as the self-proclaimed "80's Baby Last Lady" representing the true essence of hip-hop and taking away from what mainstream says that a female emcee only has to say.
"Put me on stage...and i want the crowd to go from "who is that chick" to "WHO IS THAT CHICK" --L.Blaze
"I represent a Dynasty...and only one word can describe me...DYNAMIC" --L.Blaze
"I'm trying to present THE STREETS, LOVE, and REVOLUTION." --L.Blaze.
More updates, video, songs, and in depth bio COMING SOON...STAY TUNED.
Interview

When did you start rapping and recording ?
--Well I was introduced to hip-hop from my Uncle, MC Smooth from Washington, DC in 1989 but I didn’t begin recording until the summer of 2004 in Seattle, WA.
Who influence you?
--Early hip-hop artist and R&B artists from the 90’s. I love the way they actually gave you a song.
What was your first song?
--The first song I produced of myself was to Ying Yang Twins Whisper. Its on my MySpace page.
How did it make you feel the first time in the studio?
--It was the best thing ever. I actually was doing spoken word and I just spit a poem to a beat. When I heard it playback it was like “This is it.” I went to the tattoo shop that week and it was sealed. L.Blaze was born.
What message does your music send to the listeners?
--I like to explain it in three words; Streets, Love, Revolution. Its about building. I came from the Streets, but I didn’t stay there, who wants to. As a female, you party but you want Love, and as a college graduate its about giving back, the Revolution.
Who do you want your music to reach?
--Everyone. Everyone can relate or knows someone that can.
Name some of the artist in the game today you would like to work with?
--I would love to work with a lot of singers. I know I can be that female to feature with pretty much anyone. Who knows I might just pull some people back in the game, lol.
What can your fans expect from you in 2010?
--Organization. To perform is one thing, to record is another, but to have everything fall in place, takes time and patience.
What motivates you to continue to be and artist on the rise ?
--Knowing that I have so much more to give, and I’m still experiencing new things. Everyone has a testimony and music is just my medium.
What / who do you rep?
--Well my own project, Dynamic Dynasty, more to come with that. I’m also affiliated with The Famili, Spotlight Entertainment, Brand New Productions, A.F.R.O. Productions, So Fresh Entertainment, Untame Entertainment, Vendetta Nation. I’ve featured with a lot of artists so I like to support those who support me.

What's on your ipod/cd player now?
Lol. Definitely too many to name, but a lot of Independent artists and instrumentals. If I’ve recorded with you its because I like your music, your show. But of course the trendsetters, Luda, TI, Jay, Busta, Jeezy, Gucci, Drake, Kanye, Em, 50, Dre, Snoop, Wayne, any female artist, a lot of R&B, Metal, Speeches, like I said I could really go on.

What song are you feeling at this moment that your promotiong  yourself?
--There are a couple, Bad Chick, Just Breathe, L.Blaze, Talking Bout It. If you see my show I try and incorporate each in the show, Streets, Love, Revolution.

Throw Back Interview Sabotawj

When I first heard about Sabotawaja it was threw a routine email Press package that I receive from Never so Deep Entertainment, this was no different from any other time that I receive a press package from them and of course NSD has always sent me great music before in the past ,but none of the past email's caught my attention like this one did. "Headlining something like Phililipiano rap sensation". this immediately  caught my attention cause  I'm always looking for things outside of the box to express the talent that is out of the ordinary, "I believe that this what has brought Sky Life Promotions to the fore front with as much success as we have had  in the past and what's going to keep us pushing into the future". Once I open the email I was riddled with many different eye popping things like banner's that said "DREAMING UP NIGHTMARES WHILE THE WORLD SLEEPS (Album name ) & 2012 (The name of his single )"that just made me wanna listen to the music even more, because it seemed that this artist had alot of  things that he wanted to say threw his music. So naturally like any fan would I advanced to the music link egar to play what was sent to me, to my surprise I was only given a snippet that prompt me to by the song which I did  with no hesitation .Now with my new jam in my ipod and the itunes counter to tell me that I had played this song more than 100+ times,  I came to the conclusions that I needed  to spread my experience with others threw the best way I new how and that was to tap into the Sky Life network and spread the buzz of this artist that we had a chance to listen to and become a fan like we did at Sky Life Promotions.

WILLL NEAL INTERVIEW

WHEN DID YOU START IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY?
We first started the group and performing in late 2007.

- WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
Split Tone is Jacksonville....Most of our members were born and raised here. Our horn secion comes from Miami, St. Pete, and Atlanta.

- WHAT WAS THE FIRST SONG YOU DID?
I'm pretty sure the first song we played was a Pepper song, either "Stormtrooper" or "Too Much" What is funny is that we started very early on playing tons of Pepper and Sublime, while you will still hear the Sublime in us, Pepper is not as evident. Funny how that works.

- HOW DID IT MAKE YOU FEEL?
Our first show actually had about 200+ people packed in a small beer and wine bar. The support and just the feeling of performing good music was great and is what fuels our desire to perform still today.

- WHAT MESSAGE ARE YOU TRYING TO SEND?
I wouldn't say we have a distinct message or agenda, we just try to keep the positive vibrations, the energy, and the good times flowing.

- WHO DO YOU WANT TO REACH?
Our typical audience is somewhere between 16-36. We really don't focus on any one demographic. We just want to play music that we love and enjoy and do it to the best of our abilities. Hopefully with that as our main focus, the fans will all fall into place.

- NAME SOME PEOPLE THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO WORK WITH?
We would work with anyone who vibes with our sound or and is positive. We have been fortunate to perform and share the stage with those from local acts and talents, to performers as well known as Tonto Metro and Devante, TOK, and Ludacris

- HOW DID YOU GET YOUR STAGE NAME?
Well we started as a cover band, but we played many different styles of covers from roots reggae like Capleton to west coast stuff like sublime, and tunes from other genres like cold play, citizen cope, dr. dre, outkast, jay-z, trick daddy, jack Johnson, and Dave Matthews. Because we play a lot of different genres we wanted to incorporate that into our band name. We felt that Split Tone did that, b/c it conveys to the audience that we are not just one standard sound like so many other bands gravitate to-

WHAT CAN YOUR FANS EXPECT FROM YOU IN 2010?
We would like to focus on recording new material in 2010. Most of the local scene, primarily Jax Beach, knows of us as bar band. People enjoy our live shows. However, we want to really showcase the high level of creative, musical minds that give the band its sound. Our Goal for 2009 was to expand our horizons all over Florida and the southeast. We feel that we have met and exceeded that goal. We know regularly perform in South Beach Miami, St. Thomas Virgin Islands, all the way up to the pan handle in Panama City Beach. Hopefully 2010 will bring us further than just the southeast.

- WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO KEEP STRIVING FOR YOU DREAMS?
All of the people who have touched our lives motivates us to keep striving to achieve our dreams. We feel we posses a unique talent and sound and have a conviction to cultivate it and let it grow to bring happiness to others
- WHAT DO YOU REP?
DUUUUUUUUVVVAAAALLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!
- WHAT DO YOU LISTEN TO IN YOUR iPod?
Lots of things. Mostly reggae, but we definitely listen to a lot of old school Hip Hop, Funk, and Rock. Basically anything that rides and gives you that internal energy that forces you to move. Definitely avoid that emo crap though. Were tired of hearing about how sad grown dudes are because their girl left them.

- DO YOU LISTEN TO LOCAL ARTIST?
There are a couple local artists that we really like. We are good friends with Nathan Holley, Charlie Walker and the Lions of Jah. They are great musician/songwriters. We also like Hard Headz. They opened for Ludacris with us back in October 2009 at UNF. There are other great musicians and bands around town that we enjoy to listen to and hang with.
- WHAT THE NEXT PROJECT THAT YOU ARE WORKING WITH?
We recently released a live project, “Split Tone Live @ Cypress”. This is a live recording we did at Cypress Recordings. Our next project will be a closed studio session. We are in the process of writing and pre-producing for this project. We are aiming to highlight the strengths of every member in the band. This project will be an even better representation of what the band has to offer as performers and writers.

- WHAT WAS THE FIRST SHOW THAT YOU DID AND WHERE?
The first show was put together by Ryan(lead vocals/Guitar) and Joey(keys/vocals/percussion) because they had been playing around at friends' parties for years and everyone wanted to know when they were going to put a band together. Some of our friends played a yearly gig at House of Jam every thanksgiving. It was a beer and wine bar that could fit 150 people comfortably. Our friends asked if we wanted to open up for them, and we decided to make it a full band deal. With a few weeks to practice and promote we got some guys together and played about 15 songs to over 200 people with more than 50 people waiting outside to get in. It was a good first show. Lots of support. I think we made $60 that night.

- WHAT INFLUENCED YOU TO BE MUSICIAN?
JOEY(Key): At 6 my parents made me do piano lessons early on and I hated it. I've been around music my whole life. My mom and her sisters sing every time they get together. My dad and siblings can play piano a bit too. I got a drum set and Ryan and I started playing together at 14. Djembe and keyboard came right around then too. I wanted to do what Ben Folds and Carter Beauford do, at the same time. Eh I was 14.
RYAN(vocals): My dad played music and I knew that since the time I could talk so I guess by default he influenced me. Also music itself influenced me, just hearing it is music to my ears lol.
Nick(trumpet)-Ever since grade school I have found it fascinating to be able to produce sounds that made people happy. I have been playing and performing since 6th grad and haven't stopped since.
