Female Artist of the Year 2010 ( Throw back Interview)

Mrs. Stanford, started doing music at the tender age of five watching her uncle, MC Smooth perform and practice, and by her brother playing almost every instrument you could name she was bound to be some type of musician. Around seventeen she officially picked up a pen and began reciting poetry, joining teams and performing for events in DC, MD, and VA. After high school, she then began to craft her skills at Virginia Tech where she got a chance to get into the industry of event planning, promoting, and performing. In Summer 2005 L.Blaze began with a track recorded in Seattle, WA by QuestBlaze. In 2006 she graduated from Tech with a BA and decided to pursue music full time. Since graduating, she has traveled back to Washington, DC and recorded with SoFresh Ent, creating graphics and album covers for the label as well, and Soulja Boy Records on their mix tape "The Street and the Drum:Vol 1". In 2008 she traveled down the coast to Jacksonville, FL where she has been able to record her upcoming album "I Tried to Wait" and perform at local spots Sunday through Thursday. In Jacksonville, she has also linked up with a collaboration of artists forming the group The Famili releasing a mix tape "United we Stand" promoting their new upcoming album. You can find L.Blaze anywhere there is a crowd and a mic. With a fierce stage presence and a rapid smooth flow that can stand to check a few males, L.Blaze is quickly making a name for herself as the self-proclaimed "80's Baby Last Lady" representing the true essence of hip-hop and taking away from what mainstream says that a female emcee only has to say.
"Put me on stage...and i want the crowd to go from "who is that chick" to "WHO IS THAT CHICK" --L.Blaze
"I represent a Dynasty...and only one word can describe me...DYNAMIC" --L.Blaze
"I'm trying to present THE STREETS, LOVE, and REVOLUTION." --L.Blaze.
More updates, video, songs, and in depth bio COMING SOON...STAY TUNED.

When did you start rapping and recording ?
--Well I was introduced to hip-hop from my Uncle, MC Smooth from Washington, DC in 1989 but I didn’t begin recording until the summer of 2004 in Seattle, WA.
